Star Chronicle Privacy Policy
Overview
Star Chronicle is a star-point tracker for parents to record children’s growth and motivation. We respect your privacy. This policy explains how we handle information related to you.
Data stored on your device
The app is local-first. The following data stays on your device by default and is not automatically uploaded to our servers:
- Child profiles (nicknames and details you enter)
- Ledger entries (earn, deduct, and redemption records)
- Reward catalog, presets, and your app settings
Uninstalling the app or clearing app data may delete local records. Please back up important data when needed (export features may be added in future versions).
Anonymous usage analytics
To improve product quality and stability, the app sends anonymous statistics to our analytics service, including:
- A randomly generated device identifier (not your real identity)
- App version, platform, and interface language
- Number of child profiles (count only, not names or content)
- Feature usage events (e.g. app launch, logging stars, switching leaderboard views)
We do not sell personal information or use this data for targeted advertising.
Network access
The app accesses the network only when:
- Sending anonymous analytics
- Checking for app updates
- Opening an app store link at your request
All communication uses encrypted connections (HTTPS).
Children’s privacy
Star Chronicle is designed for parents and guardians. We do not knowingly collect identifiable personal information from children without parental involvement. Please keep your device secure and be thoughtful about what you enter in child profiles.
Your rights
You can delete local data by uninstalling the app or clearing app data in system settings. For questions about anonymous analytics, contact us via the Help & Support page.
Policy updates
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. For material changes, we will provide notice in the app when appropriate.
